Exstream?

OpenText Exstream, formerly known as StreamServe, is a platform that automates and streamlines document-related business processes and enables the communication of the future, namely Customer Communications Management (CCM), also known as omnichannel personalized communication.

Omnichannel Communication for Stronger Customer Relationships. The word "omni" in omnichannel comes from Latin and means "everywhere." The goal in omnichannel is to create the best possible customer and user experience across all communication channels. This is achieved by collecting and analyzing data such as user behavior, interests, purchase history, and preferences. With this information, you can then design a strategy to effectively communicate with the customer

StreamServe – a success story
that began in Sweden

The software company StreamServe was founded in Sweden in 1995 by Per Einarsson and five friends. They developed a document exchange system that could transfer data from one type of document to another, after discovering the challenge of customizing customer documents within resource planning for large enterprises (ERP).

At that time, when the primary communication channels were postal and fax machines, it was a user's nightmare to attempt to modify data in existing templates and customize them to meet customer needs or requirements. StreamServe's innovative product presented a solution to this challenge, contributing to its success.

StreamServe also managed to expand internationally thanks in part to close partnerships with ERP providers such as Intentia, Baan, and SAP

A part of OpenText

Today, StreamServe is a part of OpenText after being acquired in 2010. As a result, the platform now has a new name, Exstream, and has established itself as the market-leading CCM platform

StreamServe as a product has different names depending on how it is used:

  • StreamServe has changed its name to Exstream.
  • StreamServe for SAP is called Document Presentment for SAP.
  • StreamServe for Infor M3 is referred to as Movex Output Management MOM.
  • StreamServe can also be integrated with Jeeves, IFS, Amdocs, Ericsson Billing, AX, Nav, to name a few.
  • Distribution of documents can take place, for example, via email, Kivra, HTML, SMS, or on paper.
